Are Rugers Really That Bad?

My Ruger #3 had an eroded throat, so I gave it a new Pac-Nor barrel......and a Bell&Carlson stock.......With a little tuning on the factory trigger, it will shoot under 1/4" with one load and under an inch with Barnes X 300 grain .416s at 2500 fps.

The original 22 Hornet was a good shooter for a while....I still think that 1 in 16 twist is [was] way to slow.

truckeedan, my .270 is also a Centennial model. I think is says "Made in the 200th year of American Liberty" on the left side barrel. I named it "The King" and my .22-250 is "Chuck Mate". I can honestly say I have never missed while hunting with either of these rifles.

I think this is the model with the trigger problems.

It's not a trigger problem, It is a LAWYER PROBLEM and it is a problem for all of our guns and us....JOHN /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angry-smiley-055.gif
