Looks like most of you guys are near the middle of the state. Have you got a lot of coyotes down that way. They have gotten pretty scarce up here the last few years.

About 30 minutes east of Princeton. If you drive like hell and don't see any Troopers. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif I have more places lined up to hunt on than I have time to hunt. You guys probably feel sorry for me now.

Hey guys I am from Hannibal MO, my family moved from there in 88', but I still go back there every year to see relatives.

I now live about 1 hour south of the Missouri line in the NW part of the Arkansas state on 71 HWY.

I'm just across the river in Illinois, about 20 minutes for the Missouri line. I hunt in northern Missouri in Adair county. But I'm always looking for more places to hunt.

BLACKSHEEP

I'm from northeast Missouri. I hunt Shelby, Monroe and Macon counties. Have to go 20 miles southwest to hunt bobcats. Heard rumors the whole state will be open next year.

Trout.
That should be some good hunting over that way. I've got a sister lives just a few miles S.W. of Princeton. I used to hunt deer over there with bro-inlaw before my boy and his two got old enough to hunt. I thought you could hunt cats over their. Is 65 hwy the boundry. They opened it up here a few years ago and I know there are plenty around Princeton. Read where the season will be extended to Feb 15 next year.

You are correct HWY 65 is the boundary. Anything east of Princeton is off limits for bobcats. I have been hearing the rumor that we will get a chance to hunt them next year for a couple of years now. I believe it will happen one day, but I'm not holding my breath.

Checking in Late,

I live in Phelps County, Near Rolla.
I also Hunt in Polk and St. Clair County.

No luck yet this year ... still learning.

There is not as many posts on the calling in the east page, but I think the information is more useful for Hunting in Mo, especially South of the Missouri River.

I think I may have saw my first Mt. Lion track this weekend while scouting. Measured 4 1/4 inches by 4 inches. I measured my dogs tract at 2 3/4 by 2 1/2, he weighs about 75 lbs.

Scout 22,

Did you get any pictures of those lion tracks? If you did email them to me

(islandcityblues@yahoo.com)

I would like to see them. I also wondered about those calves in trees on that other post.

PS I am from northwest MO...between St Joe and Maryville.

Hey scout22, where do you hunt in St. Clair county? I'm from Osceola, and do all of my hunting there in St. Clair county.

Hi everyone here in Missouri. I live in Northeast Missouri and coyote hunt with hounds here. I live south of Kirksville, in a small town of La Plata. I have 5 hounds and run coyotes everyweekend during the winter. Our group is up to 27 yotes this year. Less than a month and a half left of hound running this year. See ya'll later, MOyotehunter
