Arkansas Cat Country (Pics)

Well guys....I decided to go and try to call up a bobcat today. It was very warm and we had a steady 20-mph wind with gusts to 30....not ideal conditions, but everyone was gone from the house so I sneaked out /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif At any rate, I took a few pics of the places I was hunting. I always enjoy seeing pics of where all you guys hunt, I like to see what the country looks like...so here are some pics of where I hunt. It is pretty rugged and takes a lot out of you getting in and out of there. I didn't see anything, but here are some nice pics anyway.

Shoulda read your post, before looking for a cat in your pics...LOL! I started to think, I was a blind-sow and couldn't see a bobcat.

Beautiful country.

I had the same experience you did today. First picture is from my tri-pod deer stand, looking towards my remote operated e-caller.

In the second picture you can see my deer stand in the background looking back from the e-caller.

I was trying to call in a bobcat that I know is in the area, but no luck today. May go out in the morning and try again.

Beluebow.....you and Elkhunter give me a holler and we will meet, and go try a few.....supposed to be 70 degrees today, is that whacked or what?

Wow, the Ozarks are the same about everywhere I guess. I'm at the northeastern edge of the Ozarks here in Missouri. Yet, those pic's could be anywhere I hunt. Identical terrain. Beautiful country, rugged and solitary here in our forest ground. Mile upon mile of unbroken forest, up and down hollows and ridges, spring bottoms, bluffs, crystal clear rivers. Gotta love it!

Yea, that all looks framilier. Love the mountains but they are tough calling. Crazy weather too, snow last week and 75 degrees today. Broke a sweat just driving around.

Saving some for seed???? Is that what their calling it now?
