What a scam, you get 2,000 people to pay you $50 for the privilege of being considered for a job, and then only hire two dozen!

Probably hire by affirmative action too.

It's not a scam. Money from the fee's charged is used to help pay for Emt and Emt-I school and salarys for the new recruits.

Just like other cities funding is thight and if we can recoop some of the expences it helps our department.

The AFD does not have a affirmative action hiring program or a maximum age.

Small price to pay for a chance at the greatest job a person could ever have!
