Armageddon Gear Predator Chest Rig

I just saw Armageddon Gear makes a chest rig specifically designed for predator thermal hunting but can’t find and reviews on it. Looks very nice and well thought out and want to try one. I’m sure it’s high quality like everything they make but it’s also expensive ($200) so I wanted to see if anyone had any experience with one. I can’t find any reviews or anything on it. Currently I’m using the Reese thermal FFL pistol pack and while it’s ok there are a couple things I don’t like about it so I’m curious about the Armageddon predator chest rig.

I looked when you started this post and they look nice, but like you, I’d want to hear from someone that has one before ordering. I am getting tired of stuffing pockets and carrying everything around my neck, lol!!

Yeah I just happen to come across it on their website one day and have been trying to find reviews or info from someone that has one or has used one but I can’t find anything. Looks like I may have to be the guinea pig

we use backpacks to carry our extra gear and calls. when we set up we hang the packs from a hook under the tripod. helps make it a little sturdier.

when walking in we have the rifles already attached to the tripod, we pick up the whole rig and put it over our shoulder. if you do it right the buttstock or part of the rifle rests on the pack helping to support the weight during the walk in. like this:

We hunt out of a SxS. I keep all my gear in a duffle bag including my call, extra batteries, chargers, chest pack, scanner, extra ammo, Thermacell, etc… this rides in the bed of the SxS. Of course I wear the chest pack the whole night which holds my remote, scanner and extra battery for scope. I also hate stuff hanging around my neck so once I got the chest pack from Reese it was a game changer for me. I can’t go without one now but like I said there are a couple things that I don’t like about the Reese chest pack and from pics it looks like the Armageddon predator chest rig is what I’m looking for but I figured someone had some kind of info or experience with it. I can’t find a single mention of it anywhere online or any reviews. Not a lot of options for a chest pack that will fit a thermal scanner.

I don't walk far anymore and ride my ATV. My backpack is housed with everything but another rifle and when I use a chest rig it's like this one, even has a molle for my scanner and has about everything I need except a place for my elec. call

Well I guess I’m just gonna order one so we can see if this thing is worth the money. I’m sure it’s built well being for Armageddon Gear and I actually saw on their website it says lifetime warranty which I thought was pretty cool.

I have a plate carrier. I simply remove the AR500 plates and use the carrier for hunting. I don't know why you would need gimmick 'predator' chest rig. Before carrier I used camo fanny pack belt with pouches. Always have a 'go bag' with medical and other necessities in the vehicle and will sometimes bring out on hunt. Can put my sticks on them. I hate having to carry anything while trekking to a call site and back.

The gimmick predator chest rig is labeled that because the pouch is deep enough to hold a monocular thermal like my Pulsar Telos. Every regular chest pack or binocular harness that I have tried is not deep enough

Most gear today is all molle @Billygoat62 so you can always buy a pouch just for a particular item. I have acquired so many things over the years, and I will change my kit and how I carry shite. I was just saying instead of buying the gimmick, which you may end up not liking, piece together the perfect kit for you and one that you can modify as your gear changes. Thats all.

I looked at getting one before I bought my Reese chest pack. Biggest difference I found was the Reese has a pistol pouch if that's something you carry. Other than that, I would've bought one of these.
