Arrow flight??

I got a Diamond Outlaw pulling about 68-70lbs shooting Easton 55/75 shafts with 100gr tips. Just recently I've noticed that my arrows are starting to fly not so well. They kinda tail left sometimes and then you can see the back of the arrow doing big circles and kind of "wobbling" per say instead of staying straight like a dart. Every once in a while though I will get a straight one. Is this because my arrows could be getting old and the fletching is just wearing out or possibly my form or could it be the bow itself. The bow has shot good from when I first bought it and now the arrows just won't seem to do what I want them too! Thanks for any help guys!!

It could be all of those things. If your fletching is coming loose it will definately be wobbling but not following through could affect your flight too. What kind of rest are you using?

I'm using a different version of the whisker biskit, not sure exactly what it's called. It isn't fully enclosed in the whiskers but it's got them on three sides.

If your string stretches is there anything you can do to stop your arrows from doing that?

Arrows straight or have they gotten a little bent.
Nocks on straight ?
What kind of shapes the rest in ?
Is it a new rest ?

Are you shooting fingers or release ?

Next time you shoot, mark the arrow that shoots straight and
normal and see if it does it every time.

All bow strings stretch. Even the ones that say they don't do. If you have arrows that fly straight and some that don't, it may be a form problem. It could be a release problem or you may be dropping your bow hand just slightly. Practicing for too long a period may cause fatigue and give you problems. Try shorter periods of time practicing and more often. Also, get the arrows that fly straight all the time and seperate them from the ones that don't. Shoot the good ones and see if the problem occurs shooting them. If it doesn't, then its the arrow. If the problem comes back, then its the Indian. JMO

When's the last time you had it tuned. I have not shoot a compound in years. But when I experience problems with my recurve I always check the brace Height and nock on the string. Last time I shot compounds Bill Clinton was getting cozy with Monica.

More than likely you have a timing issue with your cams. If you don't know how to time it yourself take it to a pro shop and have them look at it. This is usually corrected by twisting the cable/strings to get it back in time. Both cams have to roll over at the same time or you will get a kick to your arrows.

good luck, drscott

Curt- Just re-read your post. Did this problem start after the new rest or before? If after, re-adjust your rest, its not lined up correctly.

Thanks for the help guys. Took it in and got it retuned, shot it threw some paper and redid the knock point. Shoots like a dart now. My rest was tweaked just a little and that's about all it took. Also grabbed a dozen new arrows. Again thanks for the help guys!
