ATV Dog Box

After adding a new pup to the staff I tried a couple of accessories to complete the Rubicon. I finally called Ralph at RM Plastics who provided the plastic tank for our Ranch FireTruck. I emailed pics and specs to him and after a couple of phone conversations he put together what has ended up being an excellent solution for us. I often travel with two dogs, two rifles, my bride and all the required accessories (and then some).

We have have really put it to the test and it has passed in all respects with flying colors.

That's slick.

How does it attach? Ubolts or did you match up the stock bolt holes with the box?

Sendit223,
I left the stock rack in place. I did cut the raised rail along the back of the stock rack off to provide a flat mounting surface. I used stove bolts, lock nuts and steel straps in the rear and nylon pull straps in the front. I cut up the tops from some old worn out Muck Boots and wrapped the bars of the stock rack (zip ties) in key spots.

Rubenator,
At times we do go loaded. The water cooled engine and Hondamatic tranny handle it without issue. This is our third Rubicon. They have all worked great for us, but I really like the power steering and camo on this one. Then again we are pretty careful conservative ATVers.

That, sir, is engineering.
