average length of aux cable that you all use

About what length should I be shopping for when getting the 3.5mm patch cable to run decoys through my fury? They sell 6', 12', 16, and maybe 20' @ the local radio shack. They have mono and stereo types. Is there a difference betwen mono and stereo? So, based on your trials and learning experiences, what is an ideal length? Thanks is advance

Unless you plan to have a decoy up in a tree or on the ground and your caller up in a tree, I'd say the 6' length would be plenty. Mono will work fine, the stereo is made to play stereo audio files, one on each channel (Left & Right).

6 foot is more than long enough. I try to keep any decoy I use as close to the e-caller as I can get it.

I want the animals I am calling to think the movement they see and the sound they hear are one animal or bird.

If the sound is very far away from the decoy you are giving the animal two different things to think about and with coyotes from what I have seen that is not a good thing.
