Avoid doing this…

Well I recently added a couple more of Kerry’s open reed distress calls to my arsenal. I’m working on building my Elk Antler set from him. I also replaced the reed on LONEHOWL’s Micro Howler which has become my favorite open reed howler and rarely leaves whatever lanyard I grab for the field.

I’ve been ripping on them to and from work in the truck. Less evil looks from my wife or odd stares from the general public. Well I stumbled on a pretty important public service announcement for you folks that work. Upon getting to work and bringing them into my shop, I set them in plain view. The clock seems to have slowed way down since doing so. I don’t think it’s a coincidence! Use this information for what it is. You’re welcome.

I forgot to mention this little piece of humor… One of the girls in the front office at work saw my lanyard on my work station and asked about the calls. She wanted to hear what a coyote sounded like. Well, I ripped off some howls and barks in my workshop which is kind of big with cinder block and metal walls. It sounded okay to my ears but she wasn’t impressed. Then I started some pup distress and I thought she was going to cry! 😂 She started yelling for me to stop as it was giving her anxiety! She was walking out of my shop saying “Oh my God, that’s awful” or some such thing. Not to let things go that easily, I ripped some bunny distress on a new cottontail open reed I grabbed from Kerry. She turned around and I swear, the look on her face was priceless! She said whatever that was triggered her motherly instincts. 🤣 I thought briefly that I had triggered an attack!
