My wife's pocket Glock just came in and we are headed off to the range to shoot this .380 WOW its small and light I came home and my wife had it in a belly band plus a spare mag and I had no clue. Very concealable.Anyone one else get to shoot one yet?

Got to handle one today at shop I used to work at, very impressed. I thought it would be cheap feeling, however it was just as well built as all others. The trigger was incredible. I'll be eagerly awaiting range report.
 
We had one arrive in the shop today and three more in transit. It has the feel of well built gun, unlike a lot of the small frame concealed carry pistols.
One thing that hit me though was the slide lock took some real pressure to trip. The ladies will want to install the extended slide release.
 
doa,,,Glock, or aftermarket suppliers such as Lone Wolf, do have extended slide releases that make dropping the slide much easier...I've had then on competition models in the past and still have one on my old 1986 model 17...Some of the aftermarket ones are a little too extended but can be trimmed down easily with a dremel or small jewelers file...
 
Wow I am not much of a small gun fan but this thing rocks. We ran about 300 plus rounds through it and just like all its big brothers it was flawless.

The grip is a little small for me personally (I can palm a basketball) but we install one of those rubber grip covers and it made all the difference in the world

The slide release is a little tight and an extension would help but remember its brand new and should loosen up a tad.

The new .380 is made down the road from me and because it is made in the USA it can be sold here. It even says on the Glock made in the USA, pretty cool. They are all assembled by hand in Smyrna GA.

At $450 bucks you would be hard pressed to find a better concealed carry weapon.
 
Being a huge Glock fan I am really glad to hear it shoots well. I have been eye balling a carry gun for my wife and alll the smaller framed ones we have found felt very cheap.

Glock's ;spec's on the 42 are about a half inch longer, .2 inch wider, and about .2 inch higher than a G26 9mm double stack with 10 in the box. Looks like a new foray for Glock into the 380 AND single stack markets, but may be a trend with them losing some ground on the micro carry guns of late. Maybe a Shield/LC( competing single stack 9mm to come??

This 42 is a bit small for my hands, and I like more than a 380 personally, but I can see people liking them if they have Glock's reliability.

Haha for what? No matter what you buy your sacrificing something when it comes to carry guns. Either its going to b small and extremely concealable but shoot like crap and be unreliable, or it will be flawless reliability where I am sure the GLOCK is and not be as concealable. Or your going to see pay and arm and a leg for a Sig and still have a hammer. To each their own. My smith 637 works great but I'm not a bit scared to carry my GLOCK 23 and have it completely concealed.
 
My xds,karh and ruger lc9 isnt unreliable or shoots like crap!!!!!
I dont see the need for a glock 380.
My wife even shoots my guns and she is 100 lbs soaking wet.
 
It's called a slide lock lever for a reason, it's not a slide release lever. Was never intended to release the slide by pushing it down. With an over hand grip pull the slide to the rear an release on a loaded magazine. In a gun fight you will lose those fine motor skills on not be able to release the slide using the slide lock lever.
 
In comparison to a Smith and Wesson M&P Shield, is the new Glock bigger or smaller? I'm looking at getting the M&P Shield in 9mm. Really like the way it feels in my hand but haven't purchased one yet. Would be curious to know how these 2 guns compare.
 
Xds kahr cm series and lc9 are all great guns IMO but are also in same category size wise as the 42. Now on the other hand, for pocket guns that I was referring to, the keltec p3at (I may have that wrong) body gaurd and take pt380 all suck to shoot and are not top of the line in reliabilty. the lcp is reliable, but still blows to shoot. Again, different strokes for different folks.
