Bad day yesterday

Yesterday was the worse day I have had in along, long time.

I have a Jack Russel Terrier, name is Sputnik.

This little dog has grown on everyone. Mainly my mom. Everyday we we come home he never fails to greet us with his little stub of a tail wagging. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Anyway I came home yesterday and didnt see him anywhere. No one was home when I pulled in and I noticed he didnt run out of the garage like he usually does. I looked for him about an hour, went to the neighbors house to see if they had seen him. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif

Called my dad and he told me that he had been hit earlier that morning.

He always wanted to chase cars. I even shocked him for it a few times but nothing seemed to work.

Guess he had to learn the hard way.

Anyway it was a very sad day at the foxy house /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
 
That's a bummer. Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend.

If you ever get another dog that's prone to chasing cars, let me know. I've got a sure fire fix for it.
 
Sorry to hear that....we had to put our dog down last summer...I would rather get kicked in the crotch by an NFL player than have to go through that. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

In 18 years I have never been that attached to an animal.

Buker Im curious as to what your method is??? Sputnik wont ever be able to be replaced but I know sooner or later Im going to get another Jack Russel. Probably go through the same problem
 
At home here we have a few farm dogs that will run out in the road and chase the pick-up or car. We just open the door as we drive by and knock them on there butt, they learn real quick.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-006.gif
 
I share your pain about your pet, Foxy.

The thing about us out living them is that one day a cute pup will steal your heart again. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

That's a tough one Foxy. I'm really sorry for your loss Buddy. A good dog is practically another member of the family. Hang in there pal...
 
So sorry to hear about your loss foxy. I have three dogs and they are like my kids. Always tragic to lose one or have to put one dowm. Been there and I know how it feels. Keep your chin up.
