Baiting

Good shot wolverine, absolutely stoned him. Tell me a bit about the rifle, your own loads, powder, velocity?
Rifle is a 18" BCA upper, and a lower I built with a Geissele SAA-E trigger, Hogue grip, and Magpul PRS Lite stock. Handloads are a 75gr vmax over 30.4grs of X-terminator. Should be right around 3000fps.

6, it sounds as if it is bolt related. Perhaps ejector binding? Extractor fitment ? That could be ammo brand related. Clean up the end of the bolt and use some silver marker on it, see if cycling the bolt scuffs it off(both no case and a sized unloaded case) you may also need to try a dummy rd or 3( for safety) for correct feeding of the mag/box.

Wolverines, that was a pleasurable shot.

Spot, yeah, I need to see what's going on. It very well could be a bolt issue. I can't argue with the accuracy, however. The rifle shoots those 70 gr. Blitz Kings really well.

Coyote activity has drastically increased lately at my site. There have been three visiting the bait over the last few days, with two at a time sometimes. One is yet another crippled one, missing a right front paw. Last night I got one of them at 0130 in the morning, a large dark-colored male. He would have made a nice mount but he was rubbed on his back, so he ended up in the bone pile with the rest.

Infiray Bolt TL-35 v2 and the 25-06 and 70 gr. Blitz King at 77 yards. Again, there was no exit on the broadside shot. There was a patch of blood on both sides, but I could not find an exit wound. If it did exit, it was small and maybe oozing blood, but I did not find an actual entry or exit. The Blitz King continues to hammer them.

This one has an unusual black spot half way up his tail. That helped me to distinguish him
from another one, plus there is the crippled one around still.

Well, last night I got yet another one, a female at 86 yards. This time there was an exit, the first on broadside shots, but not a bad one. It could have been sewed up if mounting or saving the pelt.

There is at least one more around, the crippled one. I plan to hunt again tonight.

Will post video later.

Spot, none that I can see nor feel. The brass is neck sized only with a Lee Collet Die. As to the chambering issue, it is much better now than before after my friend polished the lugs a little. I initially had stiff chambering even with brand new unfired brass, both Remington and Norma. I have never had that happen since I first began reloading in the late 1970’s.

Man 06 took them awhile to start coming in, but they have been (WHERE) regulars. And now the nights are probably 'cozy' in the 'shack'.
