Ball Head Recommendations

I’m looking for recommendations on a quality ball head for my tripod setup. I’ve combed through previous posts, but thought that there might be some new gear out there that I’ve missed. How about the Wrecking Ball? Sounds interesting, but I’m wondering if it might lack some necessary adjustment?

RRS Anvil 30 if you want the best but I'm a leveling bowl guy personally, they are lighter and lock up more solid and I've never had an issue with nit having enough travel.

I've had several ball heads in the past, and have since sold them, & went to a leveling base.

Since both of my tripods are Leofoto, I went with their LB-65 leveling base, & added an ARCA clamp on top.

A leveling base has all the range of motion you need in the majority of hunting situations, is typically lighter to a comparable ball head, and generally a bit shorter in height.

What leveling base did you decide on?

I ended up going with the Leofoto LB65. It showed up today, so I set it up. It’s definitely smoother and more stable than my previous ball head. I think it’s going to work out great.
