A golf ball goes way farther, havnt actually measured it but its atleast 300yds. Im thinking a steel acetylene powdered golf ball cannon is thw way to go. Cheaper than black powder, not as cheap as a potatoe gun but it will shoot farther

"PotatoE"?? What are you, Dan Quayle??

Pneumatic is cheaper yet. And safer in my opinion. It's on my bucket list of stupid things to do.

Golf balls are great targets, I picked up golf balls in the tall grass or bushes and water hazards for 28 years that I lived on the golf course, and have enough to last until my grandkids die.

All im gonna say is man what a waste of powder, amd that golf ball hauls some azz.

With this and two chronographs you can easily compute the actual BC, dimples and all.

The potatoe guns that we built worked OK. But when we started launching green walnuts it increased our range and accuracy by 70yds or more. One word of wisdome make sure you wear gloves when you are seating the walnut. Otherwise you will stain your hands for a week or more.

Did not mean to highjack the post.
