BAR pet loads

Those of you who reload for the BAR 30.06 please share your most accurate loadings for the 150 grain bullet. This way I have a good starting point without going through the bank account. I have reloader 15 and H4350 on hand. I can tell you that I have been shooting the factory remington core-lokt (the cheap ones) with excellent results. This load is more like a short range type of load in my gun though.

58.5-59.0g of H4350, Rem case, Hornady 150g flat base, Rem 9 1/2, CCI200, or Fed 210 primer@2900+ fps, one inch accuracy

52.5g of IMR 4064, 150g Hornady flat base, Rem case, Fed 210
2800 fps

The 150g Rem Core Loct bullet is an excellent performer on deer. The Hornady is more accurate for longer shots, however and holds together on pass through shoulder shots.

Good luck!

Great. I like the core-lokts in the automatic because of the way the lead sits back in the jacket and does not get messed up while being loaded. I shot six deer with them this year (07) and all hit the ground quickly. All were in the 50-75 yard range. I do use the hornady bullets in my bolt gun, 165 w 59 grains of h4350. I tried 61.5 grains with the 150 core-lokt and was not to impressed with the group. I will try your suggestion.
