I have to agree with Harpy. If you are not using a borescope, you are just guessing. I guessed for 30 years. Having a borescope was a big wakeup call for me.

A good borescope costs less than a factory rifle and scope, but is usable on all your firearms.

I don't have a borescope, but I didn't have one for the Butch's Bore Shine either. Just looking at the color of the patches the same as I always have. After I thought it was clean with Butch's I used the wipeout and the patches were still bright blue.

I would be willing to buy a can of Wipeout for you Jack so you could borescope after use and report back to us.
 
Acetone is NOT used in the meth manufacturing process. It's used by meth USERS. Dealers and/or cooks often "cut" their meth with other substances in order to make their batch larger than it really is. But cutting dilutes the potency of the final product. Users will wash/strain meth with Acetone because it desolves the cutting agents, but it won't desolve the meth. What's left is the "good" stuff.

Why anybody would put that stuff into their body is nuts...
 
Harpy, and you other guys, thanks for your reports. I'm going to try the brakefluid and acetone. Will try the wipeout when I can find some. kyray.
