Barrel for 17 Remington.

Correct, I talked to Woody at L-W about it. I have a Douglas which is very accurate but fouls easily and that is why I'm considering a L-W because they don't.
 
I sure as Heck wish Ol "Woody" would return my phone call. Id like to have a Lothar Walther barrel, but again, they list from 223 up. Also, they dont list any 17 cal in their stainless barrels, which they state on the page is what their drop ins are made from.

I didn't want a varmint weight barrel, I wanted a lighter weight barrel in 17 Rem like my Douglas barrel. That they do make for prefit Savage rifles, and he can probably make a heavy weight also as a special order item for you. The last barrel I bought from him is a 204 Ruger medium heavy SS barrel. Special order due to the contour I wanted.I ordered it the day after the cutoff for the current production so that made it an additional delivery time for the next run of barrels. But it was worth it, the bullets go into tiny groups and the barrel cleans up real fast. I have several LW barrels and I won't buy any other brand from now on, they are that good in my opinion. Do a search at www.benchrestcentral.com for L-W barrels.
