Batteries for tx 1000?

I used my tx 500 remote all season long with a single disposable battery. The tx1000 looks like it will use a lot more with all of its lighted display. I was hoping to use rechargeables so I dont have to keep buying batteries. How long are disposable batteries lasting for you guys?

I have been using the TX-1000 since the release and have tried all battery combo's. Great remote and it will use any type AA batteries but IMO the cheapest long term way to go is rechargeables.

I switch mine out every couple of days just to be safe. I left my Fusion on for about 36+ hours and it still had life, but the low battery light indicator was flashing. The up front purchase can sting a tad but after time they really do pay for themselves.

My disposables have been holding up pretty good in the remote. I use foxpro in my shockwave. I really don't see a need for rechargeable in the remote but everyone is different.

Because I have a good supply of AA rechargeable Energizers and Rayovacs that I use in my WT, I also use them in my TX-1000. Seem to last pretty well. I start every day with a spare, fully charged set in a zippered vest pocket of my calling vest.

I use one of the two FoxPro Welded Ten AA Packs that came with the Krakatoa 2 in the Shockwave proper. Again I keep a freshly charged pack on board. These packs last a long, long, time for me.

I'm using Sanyo/Panasonic Eneloops. I only hunt for about 2 1/2 hours at a time and I recharge them after 5-6 hunts. I've never had the low battery light come on. Same batteries in the Fusion, I recharge them every other hunt, never had it go dead.

I use the FP rechargeables in my crossfire and disposables in the remote. Still on my first set in the remote and I'd guess its been on for around 5 hours give or take and the indicator shows full power still. The caller, I've had to charge those a few times but I keep both speakers on.
