I picked up a B&L Balvar scope thinking lt was a straight 2.5x but turns out it is a 2.5x-4x variable strang variable range. The glass is just surprising for a 60 year scope crystal clear. It has fine crosshairs with a dot and is a FFP scope. I'm interested in getting it mounted and getting it out in the field. I do have a rifle set up with a Balvar 8 that I've used coyote hunting and shot it one year at the Egg Shoot. Those old B&L are really interesting.
