Bear Claw or Partition?

I have nothing against the pt bullet either, I just feel the accubond is a better bullet, and it shoots better in 90-95% of all rifles. and in extreme cases penetrates better, and is ballisticly superior to a flat base bullet.
I also think most folks use the premieum bullets when they wouldn't have to. you heard ldhunter, he's a partition advocate, but beyond 400 yds he hunts with a ballistic tip.
Why swear by a partition for a 30-06, then elk hunt at long range with a ballistic tip in a 300 mag. when the impact velocity of that bullet at 400-600 yds will be pretty close to the 30-06 velocities? then flame me for not using it, I hate that DC's thread got hijacked and for that I apologize. I didn't flame anybody... You were the one getting so upset.

The reason I don't use Partitions for beyond 400yds is because they don't shoot as well at long range as the BT's. I stated that before.

I use Partitions up to 400yds because their accuracy is usually just below MOA in my rifles and that's plenty good up to 400yds. I stated that before too.

To say they're not accurate would be incorrect. For a hunting bullet they're plenty accurate. EAsily 99% of all American game animals are taken at well under 400yds. To say that a game bullet isn't accurate based on it's accuracy beyond 400yds is kind of silly. You are the only one that seems to be intent on making big issue of that.

Actually the front part doesn't shear off. The lead in the front part fragments causing secondery wounds for what their worth while the copper jacket peels back forming the classic mushroom.
Also the reason Nosler designed the Accubond was because of the perception by hunters that plastic tipped bullets and high weight retention are some kind of magic all by themselves. To not come out with it they would be losing sales to others manufactures. All the Accubond does is almost equal the partition in penetration while having a plastic tip and higher weight at the end and nothing in end results.
 
You say my facts aren't straight, all I'm doing is quoting what you say, look all I did was stated a couple fact and threw in my opinion and you turned it into a pi$$ing contest, if I recall I just stated that in most rifles the accubond shoots better, be it 12 yards or 400 it makes no difference it still is more accurate. I posted a link about kirby testing both bullets shooting into water, and you made the smart alleck comment about milk jug hunting.

I also recall you mentioning that you knew nothing about other bullets, cause you didn't need to, well then can you explain how, if you know nothing about other bullets you know if my facts are straight or not? I know alittle about other bullets, I've tried them, took game with them.
Look if you don't like my posts fine, I post to inform folks who have enough deductive reasoning to think about them and maybe try something to find out if its right or not, you don't know or don't care long as you can be right in you own mind, be my buest, makes no difference to me, swear by your partitions, but one day at 380 yds if a buck of a lifetime steps out offering you a baseball sized target can you spine him? I know I can!!!
