Bedding and custom work?

Since you did not say how far off you are, or what scope you are mounting (1"?) not sure there are Burris Pos-Align rings available, but that is the simplest solution if not all that far off and using the offset bushings to shift elevation and/or windage.
 
I use a lot of Leupold rings and bases. The Leupold rings have a windage screw in the rear base. Put your scope back to the middle of the adjustments then move the scope with the windage screws and save the scope adjustments to fine tune. Its a lot harder to explain than it is to do the adjustments.
 
Mounting athlon argos 8-34x56 30mm tube on factory savage bases, but ill have to check the rings. I usually use vortex but these are not. Something budget i know, but had no probs on my 204.

Below is the pic (auto logged off and didnt notice). Sharpie is point of aim, about dime size. Lowest group is my 4 round group. I gave up on fine tuning when i knew i was going to remount everything. 5 round group was my sons after coming up one full rotation. He just wanted to shoot and didnt care otherwise!
 
First 100 yard score match is coming up. Than the new to me H&R m12 will get a bedding/pillar job. Only issue I see is the rear action screw doesn't have much material(wood) on the trigger housing side. I will have to make a pillar for it, the front will get an adjustable pillar.

Yes, this is what i was trying to describe before but i wasnt very clear. On my 204, the rings tightened to the bases on the non ejection side. When i remounted i put them on the ejection side. Didnt think it would make a diff, but maybe it will. Ill flip them 180* and see what it does. If not, spring for new rings i suppose.
