Behold The Deer Launcher

Thats the kind of grill guard I need on my truck! I thought I saw something odd fly over Montana, I just thought it was one of Santa's reindeer that got loose.

Nice to know someone else knows Lake Cresent, my father was involved in the incident that named ambulance corner.
But there are 4 reasons I can see why it problably isn't.
1 All deciduous trees (no evergreens).
2 No centerlines on the road.
3 Washington state does not allow any kind of road racing.
4 It looks too red for any blacktail I've ever seen.
All that said, I would love to watch those guys try to take ambulance corner at 75mph. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gifhehe /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gifhehe /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gifhehe

Kinda like when a squirrel gets hit by a big snow plow truck in the dead of winter. Looks a little similar /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Lake Crescent is also an incredibly cool place to SCUBA dive. The water is gin clear and you feel like you're diving in the Caribbean only you surface and realize you're still on the Olympia Peninsula!

Quick story: Back in the summer of '84 I heard about an old logging steam train that had rolled into the lake, so we went over to check it out. When we started talking to old-timers the story started to unwind; well it wasn't a train, exactly, it was a steam shovel on a flatbed car. Well, OK, the car didn't roll in, just the steam shovel fell off.

Down under the lake, at 155', right off the bend where there were still RR tracks, we found the truth: an old steam shovel bucket! Still a cool find and dive, though.
