Bench,bags and rests?

Some of you shoot almost unbelievable groups. I know that one very important key is a great shooting platform. Any recommendations on a bench, bags or rest? I am having trouble with my rifle moving every time I breathe. This can greatly affect my group size from sub 1 MOA to 2 MOA at times.
This is my current set up

and a bench simmular to this

remember to aquire your target, then exhale and then squeeze...this way your breathing won't have that much effect... does that bench wobble a bit? If I don't shoot from a concrete bench, I prefer to go prone...takes alot of the wobble out.

A prefer a bipod and a rear bag. Natural point of aim is important. You dont want to steer or hold the rifle on target. It should just sit there. My heart beat will quake a little bit, but i can hold in the middle of a 1/2" dot. The trigger should brake at the natural respritory pause. 3-5sec. After that i u hold your breath u might start to shake. Loadin the bipod with your body weight will help too.

I run a front bag and rear bag. My front one I bought and the rear one I made out of a couple old pants legs that were tied shut and filled with sand. +1 what bushy said.

No one that shoots incredible groups, uses the kind of rest you are showing. Those are gimmicks.

Good shooters are using front and rear sand bags and a tripod front rest, like these...

I would use one of those benches if I was wanting something semi portable when I was out shooting sage rats and did not want to go prone. But that thing looks pretty shaky. Not the best thing for shooting groups.

I really like the Caldwell Rock Jr. I use rear nags my wife made for me out of,my old BDUs. It works well for me!! Make sure your technique is correct and consistent. Hold the rifle the same each time. Drive the rifle correctly to absorb the recoil. That's what good groups are made of.

From what I've learned on the interwebz, all you need to do is install a bipod, large bolt knob and a McMillan stock. Then paint it in camo and use surplus Mongolian ammo and a Counter sniper scope. Of course, You have to do your part. Don't forget the butt pack. It's very important.

I don't compete, I'm a prairie dog shooter. When I test my loads I do it from a solid bench with a Rock BR front rest and Protector bags. The Rock BR isn't the best or even in the top ten front rests but it works for prairie dogs and the price isn't too bad. In the dog towns, I use a Coyote Jake bench and it's pretty stable but not as stable as the range bench.

Take a look at what the benchrest guys are using and the results they are getting. Some where in there, is a useful happy medium that will fill your needs. Technique is probably more important than equipment but it doesn't sell product.

Yes the bench does wobble its cheesy

Thanks to all of you I will check some of these rests out and get something much better than I have now. There are very few bench rest shooters that I know in this area so I am setting this up as I go. I do shoot quite a bit and we have many great areas to shoot but my equipment will need to be somewhat mobile as I will be shooting over blueberry barrens or large fields.
