Beretta or benelli

Of the two guns listed, which would you buy

Gonna be used basically for everything from turkey, coyote and birds

Both great guns. A lot of people don't realize how important it is that a shotgun fits you properly. Probably can't go wrong with either brand but I would handle both and see which fits you better. This is especially important if it will be used for wing shooting.

My Benelli sporting has over 30,000 rounds & never a minute down time. I've loaned to a couple of my friends while they were having their Beretta's repaired. For hunting, I think the Black Eagle is the best auto loader that money can buy. I bought one when they were imported by Heckler & Koch in the beginning & it's the best automatic shotgun I've ever owned. That being said, Benelli's do have slightly more recoil than the gas Beretta's but more cleaning on the Beretta's. #1 BENELLI.

I have a Beretta Xtrema 12 gauge and also a Benelli Legacy 28 gauge. I use them for very different situations obviously but I cannot complain about either of them. Before I got my 28 I used my Xtrema with the lightest loads for quail down in south Texas and I never had a jam or failure to feed.
I don't think you can go wrong with either one but like Bowhunt said, they fit very differently and you need to handle each one to see which one fits you better. My brother has a Benelli Super Black Eagle and his seems to be a lot slimmer in design than my Xtrema.

I have both my superblack eagle ll is awesome. Berretta is good but I always grab the blackeagle. I heard that they are making a sb eagle lll now. Maybe you can find some sb eagle ll on clearance .I hate the bennelli venci don't like the safety location.

I have a benelli M-2 I like it really well. But I really can't speak to the beretta because I have not shot one in years.

Never owned a Beretta but my Benelli M2 with 21" barrel is a turkey killer. 9 shots fired at turkeys; 8 rode home in the truck. The extra shot was a finisher on one that was shot a long ways out.

My Benelli SBE HK import is so old it will hold the 4th shell on the carrier & function with the plug in making capacity 4 with the plug. GW's didn't like that too much.

I would go with Beretta.Recoil is better with heavy loads over the inertia system. To be honest I would buy an SX3 before I would buy a Benelli.

Had and shot both for years.Recoil critical for me due to eye issues.Shoot many cases a year and now own 2 Beretta Extrema 2s and an A400.Sold my SBE.Do own and and shoot a Benelli 20 though.
Both good and reliable but differ in recoil.

You're not gonna go wrong with either one. The one that flies to your eye best and feels most natural in your hands is your baby. Pay attention to safety location on each model. I really disliked the Beretta safety.

I'm a very avid waterfowler and have been for the last 20 years. I shoot my shotguns a lot. I used a gas shotgun for years. Once I tried a Beneli, I never went back to gas. I'm an inertia guy over a gas gun anyday of the week. I can clean 3 very dirty inertia shotguns while the guy cleaning his gas gun is still soaking his gas cylinder. They do kick a little more but very hard to tell the difference. I love my Beneli's but I'd even go with a cheaper inertia shotgun than ever buying another gas shotgun. If it's going to be used a lot, get the Beneli.

If you end up with a Beneli shotgun, make sure you use synthetic oil to lube it with. If you keep your Beneli cleaned and lubed with synthetic oil, you will have zero issues with it no matter how extreme the tempratures are that you are shooting in.

You know what I think of Benelli's from my posts above but I'll throw in another that if you get one, Benelli name is on the box, owned by Benelli I think, & has the same intertia system. It's Franchi. If you like camo, they have beautiful camo patterns. I've bought several for daughter, grandson, & friends. They shoot just as good as Benelli without the name & price. Eurooptic has the camo Max-5 3" version on GBroker now for $799.00, the Affinity. They also have a 3 1/2" version. Good shooting & good looking shot guns.

I will mention a budget friendly inertia gun, Stoeger M3500 or M3000. Priced very well, and simply just work. The camo on my M3000 has been through quite a bit and still holding up just as well as my buddies who shoot Berettas/Benellis in the blind next to me.

My buddy has had his M3500 for several years now with zero issues. It's a great gun! There are more and more inertia options everyday. I love my two Girsan inertia shotguns, The 26" barrel Girsan was only $299 and the self defense Girsan was only $399. Absolutley great guns and priced great also. Inertia is the way to go for sure in my book.
