Optima and optima plus bored Beretta barrels are nominal 0.732 bore diameter and benelli crio and crio plus bores are nominal bore diamter of 0.725 so that could be a bad bad ending even if they thread in to the opposite
Not so - the older Mobile Choke guns have the .723" bores while the newer Crio/Optima has the .735" bore. Beretta and Benelli have used the same chokes for years, they just use a different name for their own respective guns. Same for Browning & Winchester now. In the past Winchester, Weatherby, SKB, and Mossberg used the same chokes - all by different names of course dependent upon the maker of the gun. It would be nice if there was some standardization of bore diameters, choke constrictions, and choke systems. Alas... that would seem to be too easy for the consumer so it obviously isn't gonna happen. Most of those factory chokes are outsourced and it is interesting to know who actually produces the chokes for the different gun companies.
