Best AR barrel for predators.

This is why most sporting type barrels are either SS or they are now melonite treated. It has the same effect as chrome, but is thinner and less disruptive to accuracy. Cool stuff, if stating CM barrels.

Its kind of a lighter Hbar profile. 7/8" behind the gas port and 3/4" in front. Its really light weight especially compared to a 16" bull barrel. I expect it to shoot atleast 1/2moa with handloads. The gun in my avatar i used a $30 raw barrel blank on it and it shoots really well 1-1/2" 100yd groups for a .357mag pistol caliber carbine. I know other people that have used their blanks and been more than happy.

So I guess it's heavier than a m4 type barrel? Does it use a .750 gas block? I'm thinking about ordering it tonight. Lol

Barkman, it's just according to whether you will be changing to a barrel with the same length gas system and if your hand guard will work with the new barrel.

It should do ok in hunting situations. In a 5 shot string it might get a little warm but i dont see it deviating with only 5 shots.

Barkman for tools you will need a upper vice block get one with the insert that replaces the bolt.
A AR armorers wrench and a torque wrench. And a dab of moly grease for the barrel nut thats does not contain graphite! Graphite corrodes aluminum. Like NChunter said about the proper length gas tube. Swapping barrels is really easy.

Ok. So u think this barrel should be an all around good one to suit my needs in being accurate enough for what I'm doing? I will be shooting my own handloads out of it.

The varmint exterminator by Windham Weaponry is definitely worth a look. I have one on order and by what I have read they are extremely accurate.
