Best ar15 scope mount for the money

I'm looking to buy a quality cantilever scope mount for my ar. The one I have isn't holding zero very well. I'd like to get one with a pic rails on top of the scope ring because it makes it easier to mount my hunting light. If anyone is looking to sell I'd be fine buying used to keep costs down.

I’ve got SWFA s.s.a.l.t., Burris pepr, and Badger unimounts.
Badger of course feels most heavy duty, but I haven’t had a problem with any of them.
I think SWFA is the cheapest at 59 new from them on their website. They come in 30mm but have 1” inserts included also.
Guess all that to say..don’t think any of those would go wrong on an AR.

Theres so many good choices out there I've personally used The Warne Gen II, Burris PEPR, Leupold Mark II, and Nikon BLACK mount. They all seem to do a great job.

Aero Precision...

Once you get a hold of one of those, you will wonder why anyone buys those heavy Burris and SWFA turds....plus, they are made in the US.

I've got 2 LaRues if you need something detachable they're really good and really expensive. I have 1 SWFA, it was part of a package with a scope and I ordered a Aero Precision for the last scope I mounted.

I never detach my scopes, the LaRue mounts are wasted on me and they're heavy. So I'll agree, the Aero Precision is going to be my go to, might even replace a couple of the others.

I buy those cheap Chinese ones on Amazon. Low cost, very strong and straight. For $30 you can't beat them. They come in 1" and 30mm

^Don't but chinese junk. Supporting American firearm companies helps our 2nd amendment and entire Constitution. If you want another $20 for an American made scope mount I will send you the money...

Rock River has a heavy duty scope mount that could likely survive a bomb blast but for the same price I would go with the Aero Precision.

I have a couple of those and they're stout! Heavy though, so bear that in mind. If you're trying to shave ounces, look elsewhere. I got all set to mount a new scope while back and planned to use a spare RRA. Pulled the scope and mount off only to "discover" the new scope was a 30mm. Doh! Anyway, in a bind, I wandered off to Sportsman's warehouse and all they had was a way overpriced Nightforce and the Vortex. I snagged the Vortex, despite it being foreign, and like it well enough. My new PTG AR is going to get an Aero though, it's about time I tried one of them.

Why do you prefer those over a normal mount. For the price of that you can almost buy the aero or Burris mounts mentioned above + a few others.

I have the Burris PEPR. It is high enough to allow me to keep the rear flip up sight attached and to clear the front sight on my M&P sport 2

I thought I'd mention it because in the original post you wanted to mount a light on top of your ring caps. The riser rail would allow you to use rings of your choice to do that. (Rings that you may already have). Plus you also mentioned Quality and holding zero. I use the PRI 3 hole riser rail with Badger USMC rings with Simrad cap to mount the Simrad up top. Although a bit heavy and pricey, It is quality and rock solid. Holds zero every time. I do realize though you are wanting to get into a little more bang for your buck. I just thought I'd throw this option at you that I know is a solid setup.

Rock River are not $20 more they are $50 more. Cut on a CNC machine same as the ones I buy. Have no fear, I supported the 2nd Amendment and the rest of them for 24 years. Please don't wave the flag at me.
