BEST Compensator For BHW 18" Barrel?

Having Sneed build a 6x45 with BHW 18" barrel threaded. I need suggestions on the best compensator/flash hider for this build!! Thanks for your response!!

I've been happy with the Kies Blastmaster (linear) comp that came on my first upper. I don't know how well is does on the flash hiding front. It does a more than decent job on the comp and noise end.

I'd double check that. Most .24 caliber barrels will be 5/8x24 so you can use all 308 muzzle devices, but that's not 100% the case.

I do believe that BHW on their 6x45 has a 1/2x28 thread that is what my 20" 6x45 came with. I installed a kies blaster on mine and like it.

Seriously? What purpose would that serve? I guess you learn something new every day...

Unless you ensure to get a compensator that has a really generous bore ID, you could risk a comp strike with a 223 comp.

Most 223 comps are around 24-27cal bores from what I've seen. Obviously if its on the low end it'd be worse than the high end.

I think it's the reverse. I think it's AR15 P that does not thread any barrels in 1/2, claiming the small OD poses potential accuracy problems. Nope, hadn't heard that one either. [shrug]

I pirchased a 6 X 45 from BHW back in 2010 and went ahead a purchased their "Dragon Head" comp for 6mm from them. Comp works great it is similiar in design to the levang with all the exit ports for the gas parallel to the muzzle.

1/2 to 28. I noticed on their current website I could not find the compensator I purchased in 2010 listed anymore. I also noted that there 20" standard barrels are 1X9 twist while mine was a 1X10 twist. I have only ran 65 and 75 vmax's and a 85 gr interbond thru mine so far. The vmax's shot well but I could not get the 85 interbond to group (twist too slow on my barrel I believe). I think I would prefer the 1X9 since I believe it would give me a better option for 6mm hunting bullets which generally start at 85 grains on the low end.
