Best diaphragm howler?

I've tried Steve criners diaphragm, a bugling bull game calls diaphragm and mfk and the bugling bull is my favorite howler. Easy to use. The mfk calls I ordered got moldy when I left them in the case. I soaked them in mouthwash but there is still a musty mildew taste on them. The dog soldier (steve criner) and the bugling bull howlers did not mold so the tape used on them must be better quality. All sound good just disapointed by the mfk mold issue.

Jeez I think the molds just kinda somthing that happens to anything thats damp and left in the right spot. I try to store mine in the fridge in some mouthwash.

Did I just say that? I meant to emphasize that I TRY to do that. I usually leave them in the console of my truck all summer because I like to bring them out when I go to social events to set the mood. Then I forget about them and they get all dried out and split.

Yes I know but they were all stored In the same container and the other two did not mold. All were wet as i was playing around with them listenign to differnece in pitch and tone from brand to brand. Not trying to bash on mfk just giving my opinions based on PERSONAL experience. Your results may vary.

Mold is an easy fix!!!! Drill a hole in the bottom of case. Happens to alot of them. I would use the diaphragm that just about every world champion, including myself use. MFK, they are making a special diaphragm come 2014.
