I am looking at getting an electronic dipenser/scale combo. which is best? all of my current equipment is RCBS which is what i am leaning towards.

I have the RCBS and it works flawlessly. IT drops the powder in about the same time it takes me to drop the powder into the case and seat the bullet, very accurate also. No problems whatsoever.

I've had RCBS and it worked well. RCBS and Hornady are made in China. I had to get another one and have two PACT's made in USA, in Texas. the first RCBS was made by Pact so that is where I sent it in for repair when needed. that is how i happen to know about the Pact mfr. So i wanted a back up machine. They (Pact) sent me there new machine when i upgraded to a faster machine then the older RCBS. Like i say nothing wrong with the old RCBS, but it grinds me to buy China.

I don't know which is best. But I have the RCBS. I like very much and have had 0 issues. If you do get the RCBS go to McDonalds and get a plastic straw cut a piece about 1 1/2". Put it into the tube and leave about a 1/4" sticking out. I have no metering issues doing this works very good and the mcdonalds straw fits perfect.

RCBS Chargemaster here, love it! The most irritating thing about it is the FREAKIN LOUD BEEEEP, but you just push a button and no more beep...

I would also agree the RCBS 1500 is the best. Works fast, very accurate and, it's usually done with the charge before I'm done seating the last bullet.

For over 10 years I had a Pact scale and several years ago sent it in to be updated (infer red sensor installed) so I could use it with the powder dispencer. Been using it for about 4 years now and have 0 complaints.

I know there are 2 dispencer models, one is faster then the other. I have the faster of the two. Once the powder is dispenced I pour it into the case, replace the pan on the scale and hit the dispence button. I then seat the bullet in the case, look at and wipe down the loaded round, put it in my loaded ammo box and by the time I turn back to the dispencer it is done dispencing and ready to dump into the next case. I can't see where I would need more speed.

I also like being able to use the scale all by itself.

I also have the Lyman, but have no experience with any other.
There are many who have complained about them, and they do
have issues if one does not do maintenance on them, such as
periodically wiping them down with a used dryer sheet to rid
them of any static electricity. Using a cell phone while
operating them will drive the little 'puter chip in them
crazy, as will the old type of computer monitor. Following
a few simple rules, mine works flawlessly.

I have the Pact which is only about a year old. It will throw 85gr of IMR 4350 in about 15 to 20 seconds. I don't look for fast, just accurate and mine has been flawless.

Is the RCBS Chargemaster easy to change from one load to another?

Does it require trial and error tweaking or is there some sort of graduation to know the point of adjustment?

How sensitive is it to breeze? if you move while the dispenser is dropping powder, does it affect the charge?

I have a Hornady Auto Charge and it is a beast. Throws accurate charges at all 3 speed levels, and makes a nice beep when it's done measuring and weighing the charge.

Has anyone tried the Smartreloader? It is alot cheaper than the other brands and I was just curious if someone could give a report on their performance!
