Best factory AR

I'm not comparing business models at all, you brought up Noveske and Larue. I was simply saying that I believe POF rifles are among the best that can be purchased at a large sporting goods store like Cabelas and Sportsmans. That was the original question.

I agree, mine is a shooter for sure. Great stuff.

I have an Armalite M-15T that shoots very good. Almost aggravatingly so. Two friends of mine also shoot ARs one with a twin to mine and the other with a colt. All shoot equally well. You would do well with either IMO. FYI I have very little experience with ARs just have put quite a bit of work into bolt guns to have them shoot about as good as my Armalite.

Best factory gun for use has been Rock River, I have a 20" Predator Pursuit, and my son has a 20" Coyote. Both guns shoot 1/2" groups with our handloads (55gr. V-Max), and have never failed us in the 5 years we have had them.

As far as store: We buy 98% of our guns at Scheels in Fargo ND (The Scheels Mothership Store). We shop around about a 200 mile radius of Fargo and Scheels has almost always been the best price (I bought a pair of S&W M&P Shield 40's for $50 bucks cheaper at another Store in Fargo because I bought 2 at the same time.) The Gander in Fargo is $50-100 bucks more for the same guns at Scheels. The 2 Cabelas that are within the 200 miles of us have always been higher priced as has Dicks. When we had a Sportsman Warehouse in Fargo they were about $25 higher on guns but at least they were somewhat close in price to Scheels.
Hope that helped you a little bit, Good Luck on whatever you decide to buy.

I would recommend going to the Daniel Defense Web site and taking a look at the factory tour before you buy any other AR15.

Daniel Defense is right up there with any of the top AR 15 manufactures.

My Ambush Firearms from Daniel Defenses Hunting Division shoots very well. It likes the 62 grain 5.56 Green Tip bullets. The Ambush firearms rifle is a cold hammer forged barrel and the twist is 1:7. So it likes the heavier bullets better. But it also shoots the 55 grain Hornady Red Tipped bullets pretty good too.

The rifle shoots better than I do. Strap it into a lead sled DFT device and put on a nice optic system and it will shoot 1 moa groups all day long.

I shot it twice last week to check my EOTECH's zero after removing the EOTECH from the Rail for storage and then putting it back on the rifle and shooting it at the range. I was shooting my pistols at the 25 yard range and pulled out the AR15 to check it's zero. Two shots hit each other at that range. I've not shoot these 855 bullets since I got them recently as they were on sale and I wanted a heavier weight bullet to shoot with my 1:7 twist rate barrel.

Daniel Defense is all about Quality.

Rock River is my choice to answer your question. From an online seller. Unless the laws change here, I will never ever buy firearms or ammo from a "store" again, and I haven't in the last four years. If for no other reason than to avoid the state tax. I do my own research before I purchase.
One store I gave up on many years ago is Cabelas, no good help, arrogant sales people, and way over priced. They'll try to sell you what ever they have too many of.

Noticed this is your first post: Welcome to Predator Masters.

Boy did you hit that nail on the head. Never shop Cabelas anymore.

Ive owned Colt, DPMS, and RRA. Kinda depends on what you're gonna do with it. The Rock was the most accurate out of mine but the Colt was a Mil-Spec GI model and the DPMS was a Sportical. They were both accurate also but nobody should expect them to be as accurate as the Rock Coyote rifle was because they were made for something different. They were all dependable. Accuracy in a AR comes mostly from the setup such as Trigger, Barrel, and Forearm. Joe Bobs has some nice Rocks on there website and you mat also check out Bison Armory. He has a very good rep on the 6.8 forums and can build you a very nice 223 wylde for probably less than a grand. Good luck and take care

I have a few Colts (carbine and Hbar) in 223 and a DPMS in 308. They're all factory but I did replace the triggers in all. They all have been reliable and the accuracy of the Colt out of the box was reliably sub moa. With reloads, very consistent.

Rock River Arms is a "factory" rifle? The banner on their Web site reads:

Rock River Arms
CUSTOM FIREARMS / PARTS / ACCESSORIES

I love mine.

If money isn't a consideration then take a look at the Les Baer line up of AR's. I don't know if they are worth it or not but they sure shoot nice.

I had a Les Baer .204 and it was hands down the best AR I have ever shot. A buddy hounded me to buy it for years and ended giving me more than I had in it because he didn't want to wait the wait time on one. Should have never sold that rifle. By the time he talked me out of it, he could have had 3 on the wait time
