Thats why you leave the left one in, or vice versa if youre a lefty. All you have to do is pull your shoulder up a little higher and lean your head into it, shoulder totally protects your unplugged ear. Yoh sacrifice a little form but unless youre shooting a bajillion yards it shouldnt effect your aim.
Its the best compromise i know of for fast shots and keeping your ears safe.
