Best powder for 19 Calhoon (hornet) 19 Badger 19 CALHOON OWNERS

I am about to purchase a 19 Calhoon (horneT) from James Calhoon and I am trying to get all of my reloading gear inline for it. He is sending me load data with the gun but they are closed this weekend and I forgot to ask him yesterday. Can anyone tell me what powder choices I have on the 19 Calhoon hornet since I am going to town today to pick up some powder and itll save me a trip.
 
Mine seems to favor Lilgun. It also likes AA1680 and Blue dot Loads work extremely well also. The Blue Dot Loads are real quiet and are under 3/4" in my rifle which is a T/C Carbine barrel by MGM.

After shooting a Hornet for years I found it is one of the cartridges that loves a crimp. Powder didn't make any difference,296, 110,1680 lilgun. Depending on load density you may also go to small Pistol Primers, just futzing around. But Jim's recommend on on CCI bench rest primers is a good one.

One other tip, follow Jim's barrel break in to the letter. And the nice thing about his procedure is your don't have to put 100 rounds down the tube for break-in.

You will really like the Calhoon Hornet. I like mine sooooo well I bought a Badger and a 19-223 also. The Badger is a CZ and the 19-223 is a converted Savage 110. Both tack drivers, and the Savage can be converted in the field back to 223AI barrel.

Jim, Kathy and Madella are great to work with, and when your die set arrives you'll have complete load instructions.My first fireform loads printed .735 with Jim's 2200 powder and my regular loads print .350 and up depending on how the shooter is doing that day. I used the suggested load data the came with the die set for fireform loads. Your gun may be different. Just experiment.

i have a 19 calhoon in a 22"contender by virgin valley shoots real fine with 1680 and bughole groups at 75 yrds with jims light blue dot load, this blue dot load is great for a squirrel hunting ive shot quite a few groundhogs and crows up to 250 yrds with his 1680 load in my barrel the 1680 load likes the 27 gr bullet and the light load likes the 32 gr bullet great cal tks ken

Nope. You can also use V/V-120, W-296, H-110, 2400,V/V-110,IMR-4227, N-200, IMR-4198, V/V-130, A-2015,A-1680, A-#9, Benchmark.
