Best Powder measurer?

RCBS works for me, but its not as consistent as the Dillon for pistol cartridges.

I think I'd go for the Chargemaster combo if you have the funds.
 
Have you ever heard of Harrell ? Definatly quality stuff. Sinclair International has some other benchrest grade powder measures also. They will be comparible to the charge master in price. It's all about the almighty dollar. To me this is one of the most important items on your bench.

+5 on the ChargeMaster!Mine is usually right on the money(25 of 26 charges)little over/under just dump back in hopper and dispense again.Never had a Harrel but my buddy has.He likes it but the RCBS is so much easier to setup just punch in the charge and get after it.
 
I have the RCBS Uniflow with the micrometer adjustment on it and love it. Very repeatable results with many different powders. I actually have two, one is at my reloading bench and the other is what I use for competative benchrest shooting. I also have the ChargeMaster and find I don't use it as much anymore. I keep track of the micrometer settings in my loading records for different loads and I think it's faster than messing with the ChargeMaster. Especially when working up loads where I may be trying several different powders and charge weights. Plus I can take it to the range if I'm planning on spending the day there.
 
Well over 30 years. Probably why I've not changed away from the Uniflow. I just got used to doing it a certain way and it works. The micrometer adjustment is fairly new, within the last 5 years, and I really like it. Like I said before, after I get it set for a particular charge weight with a specific powder, I write down the number of the micrometer setting, log it in my reloading record book and the next time I use that load I dial in the micrometer and the charge weight is right on.

The Lee is the only one I've used but it works great for me, especially with ball/flake powders like BL-C(2). It usually dumps stick powder within .3 or .4 grain and I trickle the rest with the pan on the scale.
 
Harrell, then Redding Benchrest model.

I have had the Sinclair, Culver conversion, Masker conversion.

The Redding benchrest Model is hard to beat at any price.

It is amazing how many times I find myself using the Lee dippers and trickling into the pan, especially on all stick powders other than H322 and Benchmark.

I have not used the uniflo with the micrometer adjustment. I wore out a uniflo many years ago.

Did you put that micrometer on the RCBS Uniflo AFTER you bought it or did it come with that particular unit? If you added it to the basic model with the threaded adjustment, where did you buy the micrometer unit that fits?
 
Thx Ducksoup! I kinda believe the micro is worth having instead of the guessing game, especially when loading for target accuracy and consistency of rounds.
 
I have to agree with "Hunt" above. The Lee perfect powder measure has beaten any that I have tried (4 so far). Especially for stick powder. It's inexpensive and works.
