BTW... I have hunted in GA and I think a Mossberg 835 would be dandy down there for predators.

You're never going to get a solid answer on any "best" topic.

Just pick a common caliber, and find a gun that you are comfortable with. There are ups and downs for everything.

Funny you should say that. I actually got one today for free. I was on my grandparents land today just messing around with calls and stuff. So before I leave I went to talk to my grandparents and my grandpa asked if I had a shotgun and I said I was looking at getting a new one. Long story short he went in his room and walked back out with a camo Mossberg 835 and handed it to me and said he hasn't shot it ever. Gotta love grandparents

Oh and I don't know why you can't shoot fox and bobcat with the guns listed. I looked at the regulations and it said they can only be shot with a small game firearm which is a .22 or smaller caliber. Or a shotgun with #2 shot

can it be a .22 centerfire or is it limited to rimfires? I need to know as I'll prolly be calling over there soon.

What a retarded law, why dont they just go on ahead and outlaw using those also. Heck, why don't we just maim them to death with a slingshot. Better yet, lets just try and throw rocks at them or poke their eyes out with sharp sticks. I love liberals, they know how to screw everything on the planet up.

Please, someone explain the reason for this law. I am from Texas and I just dont get it I guess.

Reg book says: any .22-cal or smaller rimfire, air rifle, or any muzzle-loading firearm. Also lists shotguns with # 2 or smaller shot. This means .17 or .22 cal RIMFIRE. Check page 13 in reg book.
Just trying to keep a fellow Ga hunter from getting in trouble.

That's during the daytime and not just at night? I've heard of states limiting to rimfire or shotgun at night. That's crazy if it is during daylight hours.
