what is the best quick detach scope mount on the market for AR's?

id like one that returns to zero but have no experance with these at all, do they truely return to zero?

thanks, BRIZ

LaRue works great,,, I have one on one of my ARs... If you have a Elevated Optical Platform (EOP) upper, then you can get by with Warne Quick Detach Rings...I have them on two of my ARs for just that purpose..Both set ups allow return to zero, as long as the optics are zero'd for use on the same rifle...

First...what is the reason for the need to QD your scope?

I'd suggest the LaRue too, for their RT0 claims and following on such aspect.

well,

i want to put a good 4-12X42 leopold or something like it for daytime spot and stalk and call / decoy hunting situations.

also be able to switch out to an Eotec for night time calling or running with hounds.

i was looking at the LaRue but since i had no experance with them i just wonderd what others thought of them or if there was a better option out there that i dident know about.

Larue, American Defense and Bobro all make good units from the research I have done. Larue's are the most popular but I am going with a Bobro on my next build. I don't have one, but from what I have read, the Larue's will start to mare the finish on the rail after being removed and reinstalled a lot of times. It doesn't affect anything other than the looks, so it might not be a big deal to you.

I bet there are others that work well, but the only one I know for sure is the LaRue mounts. I have a bunch of them and have not had one yet that has let me down.
