Best "one size fits all" small varmint/game caliber?

As Far as a 3 gun collection goes.
22lr- squirles, rabbits,maby coons.And plinking ammo is the cheapest of all.under 100yds
22wmr all of above and then some.Ammo is expensive 10.00 for 50.
223- all of the above and with the right ammo will do yoties, deer at close ranges 100yds head shots. Deer in BC are really big I have been told.200,250 yds
30/06 Anything in BC with a 150gr,168gr,or a 180 gr bullet.300,500yds
Last but not least is a 12g pump # 7.5,8 for birds. OOO home defense, # 7.5, 8 work well also and slugs for anything above Moose, Bear of any kind.
Now when you go to Africa ana I hope you do a 338 WM or a 338 Lapu will do nicley.

Nim

PS good luck and be safe.

Live every day as it was your last, because one day you will be wright.

Check out a 22 hornet. Deadly as the plague and a good midpoint. You can get ammo over 3k fps for predators and under 2800 for smaller game. Can't believe no one has brought this caliber up yet.
