Best reticle for night hunting with a spotlight?

I'm looking at the Accupoint 3-9 x 40 with the Mil-Dot and Green center dot. I can't find another manufacturer with a 40mm objective and lit center on a mil-dot around. More of a day setup, but the 40mm will work fine here at night I'm sure. Anybody have firsthand use of the Accupoint with the lit mil-dot?

In my hay day of the coyote hunting clubs in S. Ca, the Leupold 3.5-10 with their standard duplex was standard with the vast majority of teams in all competing clubs.

We did a lot of night hunting.

One thing to remember, you do not want a thick reticle for night hunting. When a critter hangs up at 200 yards, a thick reticle will cover the whole animal...not a good thing. You also need to be able to shoot one in the head as he looks over the top of a bush at yardage.
