Does anyone have a recommendation for a rifle/pistol rest.
There are dozens out there and I don't know what makes a good or bad one.
I will use it to sight in guns and test loads, not competion shooting or anything.
Thanks.

I have a MTM sholder Guard that I have used a couple times and liked. I used it for trying new slugs and turkey loads. It helps take the edge off the kick. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif I tried it with the 22lr for kicks and it worked pretty good.

I drink propel also Frogman..Better than the normal kool-aid.lol

Nice range bench setup there.!!

Pinecone, I use a front rest with a rear bag much the same as what frogman has pictured. I like this type of setup much better that a lead sled type because changing rifles is just a matter of picking one up and putting another down. As well as developing the shooters skill a bit more IMO. I shot with a friends new co-ax caldwell front rest last week and that is pretty cool.

But, whatever style your after all the caldwells work well.
