Best Rifle Reloading Dies

Ok so I have been reloading 9mm for the past few months. I really want to get into reloading some rifle rounds. Would like to get some dies for .223 and .243 to start. Who makes the best reloading dies for the money? I've heard good things about the carbide dies. I have a lee classic turret press. Also what is a good powder to use for the .223 and .243? (not that I will be able to find any)...Thanks for the help

IMO,,,, Forster makes the best dies on the market for a single stage press.
They're machined to closer tolerances than most,,, so if you're the type that's in a hurry and overlubes with the spray on stuff you would probably be better served with Redding, or RCBS, but if you'll take your time and set them up properly, Forsters will load some real consistant ammo for ya.
Oh,,, and their seater die is in a class of it's own.

+1 on Forster Dies.... Carbide dies are usually only for straight wall cases (Pistol and some rifle -.30 carbine, 45-70, etc..) .223, .243, etc., are bottle neck.

The "One Shot" spray lube works well, just give it 'the minute' to dry, but don't over wait it..

You will get a lot of suggestions on powder... I prefer the ball/spherical powders, others like the extruded powders.

A lot of it will depend on your powder dispenser as to how well it handles the extruded.

I'm currently using Winchester (Hodgdon) and Ramshot powders...

+1 on the forsters for the money. And they are sized a little smaller than
reddings for the 22-250 for sure and maybe many others. Carbides are for
straight wall cartridges like pistol, or commercial reloading in rifle, not for the home reloader in rifle.

Bottleneck rifle dies don't come in carbide.

"For the money" is objective. No body really makes bad dies.

For my money I like green, either Redding or RCBS.

I have a set of LEE RGB rifle dies in .243 Winchester that make incredibly accurate ammo. Before shipping they cost me $13. Go figure.

I hate Hornady One shot as it is the only lube I have ever used that has stuck a case on me.

I stand corrected. At $136 a set and still requires case lube they can keep them.

You can get carbide sizing buttons for Redding dies also. I like Redding dies best.

I like any one of the 4350's in the 243. For the 223, H335, BLC-2, Benchmark, all work extremely well, IME. I am gonna be giving TAC a whirl next, as I have found it to be extremely clean burning. So much so, I just picked up 8 lbs. of it......
