Best scope for low light hunting?

I found the Leupold catalog online... what a great resource, thanks for the heads-up. The catalog shows that the Illum. German #4 dot on the VX-3 1.5-5x20 subtends 5.9" on 1.5x and 2.0" on 5x at 100 yds. By my calculations that dot would cover about 4" on 5x at 200 yds. Do you think that dot is small enough for 200-300 yd shots in daylight conditions?

I have a Swarovksi 4-12x50 on mine that is great in low light.
