Best semi automatic pistol for woman?

I'll just add that some ladies dont have strong enough wrists to properly handle an auto loading pistol. The lack of strength will result in stove pipes/FTF situations. I have seen it happen at the range and also in my CCW class. The recoil will snap the pistol in their grip and cause a short stroke on the slide. When someone else fires the same weapon with the same ammo it functions flawlessly but they can hold it down under recoil. Strange I know, I would call BS if I hadnt seen and experienced it myself.

Nothing wrong with a lady packing an auto but they must be confident and ultra efficient with it. If thats even a slight stretch by any means a revolver is in order.

I had a similar experience with my wife. She DID NOT want a
revolver. So when we went pistol shopping she racked the
slide on all of the pistols. Some she could barely pull,
and some were fairly easy. Then we tested trigger pulls.
This takes a fairly agreeable sales person, but we found most
would accommodate this for a woman shopping for a pistol.
She settled on the S&W M&P 9c, which easily fits in her
purse, and her hip holster. Next step was off to the NRA
Personal Protection Pistol class, complete with women
instructors. At the end of the course she was more than
comfortable with the pistol, and took note that the S&W M&P
series pistols in 9mm were the most popular pistol with
the women in her class. She practices once or so a month,
with me on our pistol range. She doesn't do much with the
tactics drills, but she loads her own mags, racks the slide,
holsters up, draws and fires plenty accurate to be lethal.
It is kind of funny when her technique gets sloppy, the
shots go into the groin of the silhouette.

It still sounds odd when the wife says, "Let's go shoot
pistols".

P.S. One of the nice for women features of the M&P series
is it comes with three different sized grips, to help fit
the pistol to different sized hands. It also has a rail,
so laser sights are simple to install. And it is very
simple to disassemble, and maintain. It has stainless
steel under the black finish.

P.P.S NO, I am in no way affiliated with S&W. Actually I
am not fond of most S&W products, but this M&P series has
been a pleasant surprise.

I have seen this as well. The lack of a firm grip doesn't let the slide blow back like it needs too. I try to keep it simple. I need something that is going to make make a hole. It doesn't have to be pretty just needs to do it's job.

I really would like to have gotten the Bersa Thunder 380.
The lady that I was talking with does woman's cc and that's the one she really recommends for woman. But it was 400.00 and a bit more than he wanted to spend.
