Best thermal detection for price point?

Hi all. New member from WY
I want to use thermal for detection. Varmints, Yotes, loose dogs out to 300+ yards. Open fields but a lot of dense Russian olive woodland.
I have ATN X-Sight II (knock on wood, so far no problems, had problems with BinoX, customer service is POOR), an ATN Night Arrow 6 WP for shooting, also very good spotlights and good optics)
Will spend up to $2200, but at that level would prefer scope vs monoc. Considering FLIR Scout II 240, Pulsar HD19A, FLIR PTS223.
If the FLIR Scout would suffice, will try, but not sure of range?
Leaning toward the HD19A, won't have to dedicate a firearm. I don't really need video, pics, etc. Just want a simple thermal scanner for detection. Any thoughts/recommendations?

Look at the Pulsar Core RXQ30V. Just $1899.97 and does both well.

I can tell you from experience that the 19A will do all you want for up to 500 yards. Although at sub zero temps, it will freeze up. The 38 is much more money, but it's good out past 1000 yards.

If you have a good rifle rest, a thermal rifle sight can shoot and scan. Not as good, but if money is a big issue, it can be done. I have both, but before I used a Caldwell Deadshot Chairpod in the back of my pickup with a thermal scope on my rifle with great success.

Every thermal I've used started to freeze up at temps below zero. Lines in the screen. I've been told that you can wrap with hand warmers.

I've not had any issues with any of my thermals in cold weather. I've been out in -20's without a problem with 2 HD19A's and Mark II. I've read about people having issues, I've just never experienced it.
