Best way to bait hogs?

I'm gonna have to try all of this stuff. I use to make a pipe similar to that for coon back when i use to run hounds. Never thought hog and deer would hit it

Dig a small hole at the bait sight, dump the liquid and some of the corn in the hole. Spread the rest around so they have to search for it longer versus stand and eat the pile. If hogs are within a mile they will find it. No need for pipes, oil on trees, etc. That's just extra time and money for one small group of hogs. Set up a trail camera and get a pattern on them. Some of them would come the day after putting the corn out, some same day and some not till a couple days after.

If you really want to get rid of them all completely a corral trap is your best bet.
looks like a good recipe for catfish bait lol

If you can get it I use peanut butter....I get 55 gal barrel for 55.00 once they find it they stay with it, till gone...also sour corn mash, 55 gallon barrel,200 lbs. of corn, 15 pounds sugar, 2 lbs. of yeast and fill barrel with water put lid on and let it set in the hot sun for a week or two. I take mine out in 5 gal buckets and do the post hole deal.....hope this helps and good luck

Oh man I used to love corn mash! the pigs where I used to hunt would eat 50lbs of it per night. I would scatter it in thick brush and an old downed tree top to clear lanes for deer season. Now for the funny part, the place where I hunt now has a lot of swamp bordering a river in the SC lowcountry and lots of hogs. A friend and I have both tried soured corn once or twice each down there and the pigs will not touch it. The darn things only eat fresh corn. Just as strange, one year I tried peanut butter. Deer nor pigs would touch it. Even the coons left it alone. I finally had to take it out as it was molding and rotting. Anyone else ever seen this?

Never seen a hog not eat sour mash. I have seen deer pass it but not hogs. Best way to find a moonshine still was to follow hog trails in the old days.
