Spent a day and put together a project I planned a long time ago. Tons of procrastination I guess. Dimensions are 4' long, 3&1/2' tall and 3' across with heavy welded metal so it can catch some big critters as well with no troubles. Set it today for the first time by the chicken pens just as a test and the triggering plate/locking mechanism works fine. Within 2 hours caught a local barncat wanting some scrap meat.
Going to move it out to the back of the property amongst the treelines hoping to catch something a little better /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif. When I do that Im going to lay down a thin piece of plywood on the bottom of the cage and cover that with some hay or straw so its a little more "natural". I'm hoping the foxes and coyotes are hungry enough to wander in but if not, I guess I just made a monster raccoon/possum/skunk trap. Take care.
P.S. I DID let that cat go in case you were wondering.
