Binoculars and Camera Harness

I assume some of you guys carry binoculars and a camera while hunting. I usually leave my digital SLR in the truck, and grab it after the fact, but have been thinking more and more I would like a harness to carry both when hunting and even hiking. Wondering what you guys are using?

Have any of you found a dual purpose, or do I need to look at 2 seperate harnesses?

I have looked at the dual harnesses but haven't seen anything that looks like it would keep my equipment in safe and quiet.

I am currently using a leupold harness, nothing fancy, but it keeps my binocs safe, and quiet as I move.

ACG bino pouch is what I use for the bino's. I don't know what you could use for the camera. If it was a small digital you could fit it in the pocket of the ACG pouch, but not a big SLR.

you mean AGC (Alaskan Guide Creations) bino pouch right???
thats what i carry my nocs in, but have to carry my HD camer in the g4 operator, along with my other equip.

Do you mean an SLR with a big lens like this?:

Oops! I forgot I can't post links to non-PM sponsors.

I have one of these and modified my bird hunting vest to hold this holster. It works great. I do not bring it along for coyote hunting -- though I could as there is a belt loop on it.

Anyway they make holsters that securely zip closed and protect your SLR and zoom lens with a padded case. Google camera holster and you will find it.

Yup that's the one. I love it.

Sendit something like that would be great. Would that one attach to a turkey vest or standard binoc. harness.

I can't see it too well, on my phone, will look more when I get to my computer.

Yes, I am using a Digital SLR, with a telephoto lens.

Like I said, I have been leaving it in the truck, but would love to get a few shots while actually hunting.

I want my camera to be protected, easy to get to, and still be able to move quiet.

Can I do this in combo with a binocular case, or do I need to find something seperate?

Either way what are you guys using?

I use this (removed link to non sponsor site, I forgot already!!)
basically a harness for bino's or camera.
cheap and keeps my binos close when needed.

im4flight, if you tell me more about what you are trying to carry, I might be able to help you more.

For me, I hang the Steiners around my neck and carry the camera in a camo backpack. The Steiners are armoured, but the camera is not. Also, the camera is about 10x more expensive than the binos.

If you are toting a real big telephoto, there are dedicated camera harnesses like those made by Cotton Carrier.

To be honest I am not 100% sure I know what I am looking for.

I have a set of leupold binocs, that I currently carry in a holster. Standard, magnet latch, padded for protection. It is quiet to remove my binocs while hunting, keeps them safe while stocking climbing etc...

I am looking for something similar to work with my SLR, I usualy leave a 200mm zoom lens on it.

If I can find it, I would like something that works for both. Or a camera harness that would work with my current chest, binoc. harness.

I suspect the standard bino harness is going to be too lightweight to also hang a big dslr on. Google camera harnesses and see what you can find. Let me know what you decide.
