Binoculars opinions on brands

The best I have seen near that price range are Leupold's Olympic. I have a pair and they are great. The best in the business is Leica but they are expensive.
 
I purchased Bushnell Legends 8x42 a little over a year ago.Used them varminting and deer hunting. In my opinion really clear glass - no fog. Had to buy a harness to carry them as they are a little heavier than you want around your neck all day. Peeves can be if you share then someone with glasses has to screw in the eye protectors to properly focus.The covers they provide are a laugh and you have to do something else or put up with dirt,lunch etc. collecting on the eyepieces.My big concern is protecting the glass-tried alcohol cleaning on the eyepieces-big mistake -damaged the coating. Now Im afraid to even try cleaning.Really not a perfect world.
