Bipod Height

I have been looking at the Leg Notch Harris Bipods and I can't decide on the 6-9 or 9-13 inch bipod. I will mainly be using this bipod from the bench and prone position. I have a stoney point monopod that I use for sitting. I haven't used a bipod before and just need some help with picking the right one. I will use it mainly for my Savage BRJ 22 and possibly a Remington SPS Varmint. Please help with any insight.

I have a 9-13" Harris and feel the 6-9" would put me down too low for comfortable shooting from a bench, or prone, by the time I try to get under the rifle and get a good cheek weld,,, but then that could be just due to my physical shooting position...

Nine inches doesn't really put the rifle that high from the surface, as the legs are set out at an angle...but then, I'm mainly using in on an AR,,,

It would be great if you had someone that had one of each that you could try before putting out the money for one and then finding out you need the other size..

As the turtle said see if you can try before you buy.
I prefer the 6-9" from the bench, If shooting prone in field conditions even short grass interferes.
I would not purchase a bipod without the tilt feature.

The nine to thirteen is a little high for my Protektor rear bag on the bench. If you don't mind packing a piece of 2x6 or two will get you high enough. That said, the six to nine is a little low in the field especially if you are shooting uphill which we do often when shooting rockchucks. I guess that's why they make two heights. Ditto on the swivel.
