Bipods other than Harris?

i know a lot of guys swear by shooting sticks, and i have tried them, but i never got to liking them.
i have several Harris bipods, mostly i use the 2 section one that goes to 27". BUT, I am so tired of them falling apart. one of them i put a nut on that had a built in star washer, that seems to work ok. others i have used red loctite, but eventually the nuts work loose. I may go to the extreme of using longer bolts and castle nuts!
But, there must be a bipod out there that works as well, but that stays together?
 
Harris, is the best bipod made. There's several other brands available now but none stack up compared to the harris.

If the only issue is your nuts rattling loose, then put some locktite on them & don't look back.

I used the harris 27" bipod for a few years but it seemed I always needed either more or less elevation than what I could get out of the harris.

So I made my own shooting sticks out of 5/16 fiberglass poles, I wrapped the rest area with para cord, attached the 2 poles with 1/8th camo bungee cord at the bottom of the rest, I laid the forend of my rifle in the sticks, then I ran another piece of camo bungee over the top of the barrel.

This allows me to pick up my rifle & move it around without the sticks falling over.

This setup gives me more versatility, I can adjust elevation a lot quicker & easier with this setup, plus it cost me almost nothing to make.

snipe pods very light easy to use wont fall away from rifle moves up and down and side ways.Look up Kramer Designs in Montana. Terry Kramer make many lenghts. You will not be sorry.
 
I use a Monopod. I rest the gun in the V cradle of the monopod right at the Handgaurd retention ring right in front of the mag well. This gives trmendous stability yet lots of options in elevation and traversing. I think most people rest their gun in the v at or near the end of their rifle. I dont like that nearly as much. Try that method with your sticks you may like it. The method I use distributes the weight of the gun almost 50/50 its alot less clumsy.
 
I own Harris, Caldwell, Outers, Walmart branded stuff and THEY all will have one side or the other bolt/nut come loose, go missing in the field. So that's not limited to one brand. Ive not tried any of those super expensive ones though.
I use the nylock nuts on the ones Ive had to replace, not 1 lost since that.
Yea I still use sticks mostly though.

Atlas is a much better made bipod. but you pay the price for them. they are constructed with better materials load better and easier, have a swivel built in as well.
