Last night I used my new scope mounted spotlight for the first time. I had never hunted at night. I setup like I would during the day by walking into the stand. After about 7 mins I had nothing come into the stand. (I thought) I decided that I would check my backside. Well there was a bobcat crouched behind me about 20 feet away. I jumped in surprise and the bobcat ran. I gave him one squeek and he stopped and looked at me. I could of taken the cat easily, but did not have a tag.
In this area we have lots of Mountian Lions and Bobcats. This experience has made me think about never doing it again solo. I want someone watching my back. I have heard to many stories over the years of cat attacks.
Am I being paranoid, or am I just a big sissy girl.
